All through this book I had a vague sense of familiarity. Yeah, I read it before but couldn't remember anything about it other than knowing I had read it before but I didn't really realize it until about halfway through. Oh well! ( )

The whole book is in e-mail format, the story start out slow. I lost interest about midway through when it got more of a love story. Meggin Cabot's books don't seem to be for me, despite them their being romans. I can never get in to romans. ( )

OMG this brought back so many nostalgic feels. I love this new adult romance by the amazing Meg Cabot. This is told in entirely by emails between all the characters. This is funny and so romantic. Would highly recommend. ( )

Quick and light, addictive, but not heavy on substance. A bit dated as well, which is odd-I'd think 2009 wouldn't feel quite that way.

Light fluffy read. I was put off by the format at first. The whole book is a series of emails between characters, which was weird and hard to get into. but once I did, I loved how each character had their own writing style and dynamics with other characters. ( )

Book description
Mel Fuller, a New York Journal pletykarovat vezetője, Max Friedlander pedig nőcsábászsága révén is hírhedtté vált fényképész. Szomszédasszonya kórházba kerülésekor Mel valójában nem az igazi Maxet ismeri meg, hanem John Trentet, aki egy régi tartozását törleszti Maxnek a nagynéni háziállatainak gondozásával. John a kutyasétáltatás ürügyén Mel szomszédjává válik, s így a kapcsolat aránylag könnyen alakul – titkokkal terhes – bensőséges, mégsem egészen őszinte szerelemmé. Mel cikkére, mely szerint a milliomos Trent házasodni készül, nők ezrei torlaszolják el a New York Chronicle bejáratát. Aztán a hetekig tartó férjvadász ostrom lassan lecsillapodik, és Mel egy napon ismét e-mailt ír Johnnak.
A közelmúltban, hazánkban is nagy sikerű ifjúsági írónőként feltűnt Meg Cabot (A neveletlen hercegnő naplója 1-4.; Hívószám 1-800: Tudom, hol vagy! stb.) e könyvét e-mailekből építi fel. A rutinos szerző a legjobb barátnő, a vőlegénye, a pletykás Dolly, a fura Tim, a buzgó személyzetis Amy, az aggodalmaskodó szülők vagy a beosztottait hajtó főszerkesztő levelezéséből kerekíti egésszé a mai fiatal felnőttek szenvedélyes, fordulatos, bővérű humorral megírt történetét.
