Nice in-between the cracks Star Wars story.

Right after the battle of Yavin, Leia fights against all sorts of odds, with the assistance of another Alderaanian, Evaan an X-Wing pilot. Together they gather other Alderaanians in exile, evading capture and betrayal. ( )

I thought this was fun, liked Evaan's character and wished there was more of it, but it is a little...fast...for what it is. Still pretty good overall. ( )

Read as monthly issues. Quite enjoyed the artwork, and the first issues were OoOo, but they ebbed quickly. ( )

Cool mission for the Princess, save the remaining people of Alderaan. The idea fits well with the Star Wars Universe. However, I was a little taken aback that Leia is referred to as the "Ice Princess," as though, she's too desensitized to break down and mourn. On screen her character is so bold and passionate...I had a hard time believing she'd hold anything back.

But, other than that, entertaining, girl-power story! The real shining moments come from flashbacks of her youth. I'm still calling for a "Young Princess Leia" series. ( )

The preachiest and most revisionist of the new titles. Bail Organa - a founding member of the rebellion, is shunted aside and given no credit for raising and influencing his adopted daughter. Leia had to 'choose' to join the rebellion, because it's her life DAD, and you can't tell me what to do. ( )
