I first encountered Rich Hall and his sniglets in the fairly lame American copy of "Not The Nine O'Clock News!", "Not Necessarily The News". His regular segment in the show spawned this book.

Most would have their favourite sniglet I suppose. Mine is "choctasy (chok' ta see) n. the joy of discovering a second layer of chocolates underneath the first". ( )

A sniglet is any word that doesn't appear in the dictionary, but should. My favorite here is "expressholes - People who try to sneak more than the "eight items or less" into the express checkout line". ( )
