A slightly disturbing tale, but a great book over all. Really helps tell how the Narnia world started. ( )

The first book in the Chronicles of Narnia follows two children, Diggory and Polly who are mistakenly thrown into a magical world when Diggory's Uncle Andrew tricks Polly into taking up a magic ring.

This is such a wonderful tale that brings us our first encounter with The Witch, Jadis, and Aslan the great Lion of Narnia.

The story also tells of the creation of Narnia and how the humans came to rule it.

Very quick to read, not too scary, and very wonderful with full-color illustrations in this edition.

Listened to this as an audiobook and was done in under 3 hours with it.
