Although this book fits into the fantasy genre because of cows that can talk and drive a tractor, it also provides some useful information. When the cows 'land on the moon' they begin to debate back and forth about if it is really the moon or not. One cow then suggests that it must be the moon because it has craters. The cow then goes on to explain what craters are, and how they exist on the moon. This book is great for students who are ready to progress into chapter books, but still need the pictures and simple ideas to understand the story and plot. The pictures also help the reader to understand which cow is talking, because the reader will be able to use visual cues to determine and conclude. The reader will also be inspired to use his or her imagination, and to go on adventures. Just as Minnie and Moo did in the story, the reader will learn to be silly and think outside the box.
