Excellent SF, with great everyman performance by Dreyfus, and oh those saucers! ( )

Space aliens visit Earth.

The last half hour or so is great, as are a number of other scenes throughout the movie. But I couldn't care less about Richard Dreyfuss or his mashed potatoes.
