I waited to review the book until I had given some of the resources a spin in my library. The students at all elementary levels loved Guess Box. I just changed the items for the different levels. I use the language about failure leading to success more frequently now and share my own mistakes and thinking of how to improve with them. This book has great resources that teach all people how to move from a fixed to a growth mindset. Invaluable. ( )

I found this book to be helpful for those who are teaching in an elementary / secondary level. It is definitely something I will be using in my classroom. ( )

I received the Ready to Use Resources for Mindsets in the Classroom as an Early Reviewer. I have not yet read the book Mindsets in the Classroom, but it is now on my TBR list. The Resources book gave me many activities to do with my first graders. I feel that it helped me build my community, letting the kids know that it's ok not to get something "yet." It also gave ways to teach resilience and grit. I will be using this book all year to revisit trying and giving it their all. I have been recommending this book to others in my school. ( )

This is a wonderful resource that I wish more schools would implement. Too many times I've heard children come in the library after school and say they'll never learn -whatever is currently being taught- because they aren't smart enough. I've heard it over and over how certain demographics reduce intelligence. Sure, the boy down the road born to immigrant parents with no formal education may have a difficult road ahead of him but that does not mean he can't learn complicated math or become a scientist. This book touches on several areas that can be implemented in any classroom regardless of what the school system dictates. I'll be using it with my currently public schooled child. I wish I had something like this when I was homeschooling my older two. I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. ( )

I thought this was a great tool for using in the classroom. It focuses on the need to help students develop a positive mindset in the classroom and how this can help them to become better students in every subject. ( )
