What little girl would not want a princess to visit her? That's what kept happening to the little girl in this story. A princess would show up in a mud puddle, the kitchen sink, a bathtub, and even in a cup of tea. But it is what the princess told her that was most important, and the little girl took it to heart. Who was that princess in her teacup? You'll have to read the book to find out.All in rhyme and accompanied by over 35 delightfully colorful illustrations that dance along with the story. It happened awhile back while I was visiting my cousin. We were having a cup tea and eating cookies by the dozen. I was about to lift my cup to have another tasty swallowWhen my eye caught something that startled me for what was to follow. I looked into my teacup and to my astonishment and surpriseThere was something there that shocked me; I couldn't believe me eyes.Sample:"I thought, is that a princess in my teacup? And why is she smiling up at me?I'm just a little girl who is as simple as can be.I do not know why she would visit me. I do not know what is on her mind. All I know is that she's very special and I'll try to be most kind."… (more)

A little princess in a teacup gives a little girl advice on helping others, being grateful, and kind. This book is so sweet and positive, it is a wonderful ready to help keep your child wanting to be good and thankful. The pictures really kept my little girl interested in the story, she felt so inspired and wanted to let everyone know how much she loved them! ( )

The Princess in My Teacup by Sally Huss
Have enjoyed other works by this author and this is a great read also.
Very colorful rhyming children's book about being useful and helpful to others.
Starts out when she was visiting with her cousin. She would see a princess in her teacup. She's also see her in other places. She asked what she could do and the princess said to be useful. She had been doing that by helping others in the family with small things.
Next she saw the princess and she told her to make friends with those who don't have any. She did notice a boy and it was raining out so she offered not only her umbrella but her friendship.
Next she was telling the little girl to do more...love how she realizes at the end who the princess really is.
Cute story. ( )
