This was such a thoroughly planned out book by the author, it guides you through the detox programme very easily, leaving you with the confidence to actually start it on your own. She has such a friendly approach in the book, it's as if she is right there beside you willing you on. She does highly encourage you to first fully read the book BEFORE starting the detox, so you can grasp all the information for the best possible outcome, I took advantage of this whilst on my holiday to do just that and I was ready to begin when I returned.

I found Renewal Anytime very straightforward to follow, full of quick recipes that genuinely sound tasty and enjoyable, answers to common questions, along with plenty of tips and advice. The daily menu's are already planned out for you, breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack and dinner, Don't be concerned about not liking a particular recipe as the author has also included extra recipes in case you want to substitute. Lisa has literally thought of everything you could possibly need to ensure your detox goes as smoothly as possible, even when you finish your detox and may think to yourself 'now what?' Lisa has included recipes so you can continue the progress you have made.

It's not all about food of course and Lisa advices you on other beneficial ways to help the detox work better, such as daily body brushing, stretching, exercising, drinks.

One tip, if your anything like me, I started listing all the ingredients I would need to begin, but there is no need as Lisa has already prepared the shopping list for you. Some books I have had in the past have lots of ingredients I have never heard of. not to detox but to simply eat healthy, so it was quite a pleasant surprise to see all the familiar items on the shopping list.

On our return from holiday both hubbie and I started the detox and we are currently on day 4. We've found the recipes easy to make, tasty and we're not feeling hungry in between meals and snacks, so let the re-balance begin! Watch out for my follow up post xx ( )

As soon as I started reading the first page I thought, okay I can do this. Lisa Consiglio Ryan, the author of “Renewal ‘Anytime’ 10 Day Detox”, wrote the introduction in such a person-to-person manner that you could have literally been in the same room with her while she cheered you on. The beginning points that Consiglio made on the importance of detoxing and cleansing your system regularly quickly grabbed your attention and got you excited about beginning this journey towards a better you.

The more I read I realized that she was there as a professional health guide that explained the process in a very clear and smooth way. People loath the word diet, however her approach to getting you on board was to make it a life choice with nothing but positive benefits, so why wouldn’t you want to take a dive into what can be a scary life experience of detoxing. We are all so habituated into our lifestyle, which revolves around food, changing that, even for 10 days, is not an easy task.

The fact that it is only 10 days makes this detoxing plan completely doable. Even more inspiring are the amazing recipes! I am definitely going to incorporate those recipes into my family’s regular meals throughout the week. Especially when we have been binging on “Animal protein”. If anything else this book is worth the read just for those tasty recipes that will truly make you wonder what was holding you back from trying this foolproof detox plan.

Consiglio’s straightforward approach and yummy recipes will make this detox plan a regular part of your life. She describes that you should try detoxing once every season and the importance it may make in how you feel about yourself mentally and physically. The health benefits surely outweigh the fear you may have of changing your bad habits for 10 days out of every season or before a special event. ( )

Reading "Renewal 'Anytime' 10 Day Detox by Lisa Consiglio Ryan came at the right time and as a pre-sent help for me. I wasn't sure I could commit to this type of regimen for 10-days, thinking I would be hungry, or I wouldn't be able to get it right, and other self-defeating thoughts - before I even began. I believe that is a huge part of why it's necessary to read the book completely through from the front to the back, FIRST, before jumping into the plan. Doing that helped me realize that I really could do this, and that preparing recipes and all of the tips provided would help me be successful.

I have to say that following the steps in the plan helped me get my mind and body on one accord. I feel like my body was rid of the things that clogged it and made me dredge through life, fighting against this fibro syndrome. At the same time I felt like my mind was renewed and refreshed to plan more clearly how to manage a lot of different things I was dealing with.

I'm definitely a believer, now, that this 10-day Detox is well worth pre-planning, following the tips and the plan as closely as possible with the encouragement that is written into the plan. I am going to do it again whenever I feel myself fumbling or plateauing. I love that there is a pre-plan, the plan, and then the after-plan. All of the drinks taste incredible, and there is not one person in my little family who doesn't like them. This was an incredible addition to my journey, and I am still doing some juices with my regular diet.

I wasn't sure what this book was going to be about when I first agreed to review it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is actually a way to start eating healthy for life by cutting back on a few items that most of us eat or drink a lot. I was very happy to see that this detox does NOT include any "meds"--just foods! I can definitely see where this would and could make a difference in your lives. I say your lives because there is one ingredient in almost every recipe (and there are a lot of them!) which I can't go near. It is Olive Oil-Extra Virgin or not. My gallbladder will not tolerate oils and I really do not like the excruciating pain that accompanies my ingesting any oil! But for the rest of you I suggest you go and read this book-lots of information, loads of recipes (which actually do sound quite good)-and then try this detox approach. ( )

I received this book complimentary, to review, along with a group of book review bloggers. This was my first time doing a detox, so I thought that I would give it a try. I like that it didn't require any outrageous changes to my daily routine -- like only mixing and drinking juices, so many times a day, or depriving myself of real food, to help me recharge during my busy week. It had healthy foods, smoothies, juices, and snacks throughout the 10 days. I learned about many new recipes and I was pretty surprised by the ‪vegan‬ options too. I am already a vegetarian, but I was getting bored with eating the same foods and frankly my body was feeling it too. It was a great way to ‪rejuvenate‬ my mind, body, and spirit, with the 10 minute quiet time and journaling that's also recommended in the book. I'm actually still preparing many of the recipes from the cleanse and the supplemental recipes and bonus recipes too. Overall, I really felt more relaxed, intuitive during this time, and gained more energy. What you put into your body really does affect you on so many levels. ( )
