Patterson, in my opinion, isn't a great author but he is a superb story-teller. His books are mind candy and, to me, totally addictive. Have not found one of his books I ever regretted reading or did not ultimately enjoy even though a couple of the Alex Cross novels got a little tedious. If someone is looking for an enjoyable to read they can't miss with Patterson. ( ) can44okie | Aug 28, 2020 | This wasn't a bad book by any means, but was unremarkable. The mystery was okay, but it was clear this book was less about the mystery and more about the personal relationships. Very minor spoiler: Not sure this is a real spoiler, but one could make assumptions on the story, but this was a good tweener-book to set up future books.
