No current Talk conversations about this book. the tension... the character development... the relationship building... i cannot ask for more, only to bring back book 1 lucien i do not know this man in book 2 It was fun, but not worth it. A Court of Mist & Fury (Book 2 of A Court of Thorns & Roses series) by Sarah J. Maas (who has also authored the Throne of Glass and Crescent City series) follows Feyre, who went through many trials and much anguish in the first book of the series. She starts out in Spring Court with her impending marriage to Tamlin but the book takes a drastic turn and she spends most of the book in the Night Court with Rhysand discovering exactly how much she changed in book one. The Lovely: Maas’ world building continues to develop, this time in the Night Court, which surprisingly has a number of types of locations. But, the biggest focus in book 2 is the character development, especially of Feyre and Rhysand. There is also a ‘found family’ theme, which is one of my favorite book themes. The Mundane: The pace of this book was much more consistent in this book (see my review of book one for my commentary on that book’s pace). The Dreadful: I can’t think of a thing. Rating: 5/5 Stars Recommendation: This is the book that has made me fall in love with the series. I’ve actually not yet started book three, in part, I think, because I’m worried the remaining books won’t be able to compare to this one. I was glad to see Feyre grow as a character, and as a woman. The book ended with me incredibly pissed at one (well, two) of the characters. If Rhysand doesn’t me to it, I will end that character. And that’s part of why I loved this book so much - it made me FEEL. Enjoyed it very much! now off for A Court of Wings and Ruin! no reviews | add a review

Though Feyre now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, but as she navigates the feared Night Court's dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms--and she might be key to stopping it. No library descriptions found. |
