Collection of materials published in The New Yorker, with wonderful Milton Glaser illustrations. Many of the poems are children's favorites and light verse.

Illustrates the Ogden Nash wit with wordplay: Getting old -- "Another day, another dolor." [50]

"Bird watchers top my honors list.
I aimed to be one, but I missed."...
That is why I sit here growing old by inches,
Watching the clock instead of finches,
But I sometimes visualize in my gin
The Audubon that I audubin." [99]

A delightful collection of Ogden Nash poems on the subject of illness (on which, being a hypochondriac, he is an expert). I had to mark several of them to be used on special occasions ("Visitors Laugh at Locksmiths or, Hospital Doors Haven't Got Locks Anyhow" and "What the Well-Read Patient is Talking About or, Look Ma, What I Got!"). Some amusing, some hilarious, great fun! ( )
