I immediately went back to the source of the galley and re-read the synopsis, learned it was not an excerpt, and laughed at myself. No Honor Among Thieves is a great quick read - I was obviously caught up in the characters and full of hope to get to know them better. I am looking forward to reading a full length novel withe these characters. Limited LEGO products are apparently quite valuable and there seems to be a black market for it. But when something goes wrong and a truckload of LEGO gets ambushed must Ali Reynolds and Joanna Brady find the culprits.
I find novellas the perfect way to get to know series, to see if I find the characters interesting enough to read the books and get to know the writing style of the authors. I found this story OK, well-written and quite enjoyable action-filled. I must admit that I wasn't completely taken with the story of LEGO theft. For some reason, it just didn't appeal that much to me. Perhaps I'm not just that interested in organized LEGO thieves.
