Enjoyed this book. The sheriff and the troublemaker make quite a pair. The father's deception knows no bounds. Great character development, storyline, and plot. I love Hank! Awesome hero character. ( )

Another book with a "huge secret" that even the reader isn't let in on, that later turns out to be a non-issue. However, the male lead's reaction to the knowledge was really... unrealistic. Otherwise, much like the first book in this series, it's a quick and light read, good for short-term entertainment. I'll probably continue the series when I have more free time. ( )

I stumbled into this series, and found it fun yet thought provoking. While each book is easily a stand-alone, there are simple threads that tie them together. In this episode, it is the werewolf sheriff who meets and falls in love with his arranged bride. Could have been a boring formula novel, yet is anything but. The issues relating to trust, lousy childhood (hers), caring family (his), and personal growth are not limited to shifters. But don't get me wrong, there is a ton of fun here, too!
BJ is a great audio performer and not only has the perfect accents, but makes each character clear and gives greater depth to each one. ( )

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town where Halloween is celebrated 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better. Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all. Werewolf Ivy Kincaid has come to Kincaid Falls to meet the man she's to marry. But when she gets arrested, she worries the man she's to marry will get a poor impression. Her fiance is her pack's sworn enemy, werewolf and sheriff Hank Merrow, and he'll do his duty to his pack to keep a truce-- but he doesn't mean he has to like his bride.… (more)
