Nice picture book biography, follows Hillary's career; emphasizes that "you've got to be tough" to do the things she did, and talks about her life coming full circle from growing up in a time when her mom wasn't expected to work or to vote or to make any important family decisions, to Hillary reaching the heights she did in her career. No sources given. Typical gorgeous Colon illustrations, wow! ( )

Hillary Rodham, who did very well in school, became the first student ever to give a speech at the ceremony where she spoke out against war. She met Bill Clinton at Law School and became his wife and a mother. Hillary never gave up on her dream, she became the first female lawyer at her law firm. Bill Clinton became President of the United States , but Hillary was not going to be like other first ladies. She learned everything that she could about health care and then presented the facts to Congress as no other person in history has done. She also went to other countries to do a lot of speeches about "Women's rights are human rights!" She thought that women and men are equal and she fought hard for rights for women. This book taught me that woman can do anything they put their minds too!! ( )

"Hillary" talks about the life of Hillary Clinton so far and the different scenarios where she stood up for women and the United States as the first lady, secretary of state, and many other positions. She has talked to many leaders of countries and spoken in front of many people about many topics including equality and has never backed down from her opinions. She has shown to be the first first lady in many different situations and career positions to help progress the United States, other countries, and women across the world. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. I feel like I have learned more about Hillary Clinton and her history. I can see how this book may come off as controversial though because of how she is currently a presidential nominee. I would still read this book with my students to teach them about the first first lady to become a presidential nominee that works hard for her country and to promote important women in history. ( )

Hillary, is about the life of Hillary Clinton. It is very informational and talks about her drive for getting women the same rights as men. It talks about specific countries that she has visited to help out the women get equal rights. It is very obvious why this book is controversial. I think anything political is controversial. I liked reading this book, it gives a lot of information about Hillary Clinton that I was unaware of. ( )
