Anche se è il fenomeno del momento, i conflitti per la terra non si riducono al land grabbing (il sottotitolo infatti precisa: “Tra accaparramento, consumo e accesso indisciplinato”).
Questo testo interdisciplinare, di livello universitario, è una vera summa sulla questione, e mostra quanto la terra sia un complesso enjeu dalle mille valenze: socioeconomiche, culturali, giuridiche, politiche… E come, in tanti casi, il banco degli accusati non spetti solo alle multinazionali ma anche ai sistemi statuali e agli investitori nazionali. L’Africa non ha l’esclusiva di questo tema, ma nel libro essa è particolarmente presente con casi di studio quali Mozambico, bassopiano etiopico, Ghana, Togo e altri. ( )
