Brasileirinho es una documental dedicado al "Choro", el primer género de música brasileña urbana que nació en Río de Janeiro hace 130 años. El Choro- conocido también como el jazz brasileño-, es la mezcla de diferentes influencias musicales: melodías europeas que se fundieron con acordes propios de la comunidad negra, a la que luego se le añadieron elementos de la samba y de la bossa nova. Brasileirinho narra la historia del Choro pero, sobre todo, se aproxima a la forma en que se vive y se interpreta hoy en su país de origen.
