Stiles and Derek are fighting a witch when she throws a red dust on them, it doesn't seem to effect Derek, but it gets into Stiles' skin and becomes painful. Derek kills the witch and they return to Deaton's. Where it is revealed they have just gotten themselves into a fuck or die situation since devirginizing Stiles is the only way to save his life from the red dust ... It seems like a clichéd set up for a Sterek PWP, right? It should be, but the author really evolves this premise. From that "initial" night, Derek and Stiles carry on per normal (or as normal as they can be), but the fuck or die event illuminated their attraction to each other and a sexual relationship develops (and maybe emotions run deeper than either of them admit). Then the witch's witch sisters return and swing the emotional wrecking ball.

The sex is hot. Hot. There is awkward sexy times. Frantic sexy times. Sweet sexy times. Hood of the Camaro sexy times. But there is also an unresolved emotional tension (a UET, if you will), strung throughout the story.

An angsty, but easy Monster-of-the-Week-that-made-us-fuck-or-die-and-it-turns-out-we-may-like-each-other Sterek.
