3.5 stars - this is one of those times that Goodreads really needs to install the half star feature, because this is a solid 3.5 stars.

Derek is inhumanly good looking and for a dose of reality, everyone in Beacon Hills is not blind or immune to his beauty - demonstrating how tough life must be for Derek (and people like Tyler Hoechlin) who are cursed with such great and terrible drool-worthy beauty. Unfortunately though there are a few who are pushy fan girls prowling for him - the cashier at the grocery store being one of them. So in a moment of frustration and to just get some reprieve, Derek might tell a little lie that he has a boyfriend, that boyfriend lie may accidently spiral to be specifically Stiles, but no worries - Stiles is good to play along. (Because the lie is so true, the boys just haven't realized it yet.)

Set a few years in the future when Stiles is in college and Derek is living a domestic life of home ownership and responsibilities, but the monster(s) of the week still manage to pop up for fun and are easily disposed of - its those cashiers that are hard to shake. This is a fun, easy read where Derek and Stiles have an easy friendship (snappy banter included) and a growing attraction.

However, it did need to be longer to really flesh this whole lovely set-up. The attraction is a slow build and the realization very abrupt, going from PG fun to NC-17 steamy at a whirlwind pace. Fun and easy with an emphasis on how this fic, Stiles, Derek and Sterek really are simply brilliant and ridiculous.
