I read this solely because I love this author and wanted to read more from her, but kind of knew this plot bunny really wasn't my thing. Though for not being "my thing", it was entertaining. It is written well with enough seriousness to have some angst, but dry humor to break it up so it doesn't feel too heavy.

Stiles is in college, Derek is the stripper at his 21st birthday party. Some hanky panky goes on between them. Some murders happen on Stiles' campus. Things get super sexy between them. Stiles is a new adult falling hard in his first real relationship. Derek is a grumpy mystery. Everything comes full circle in the end with feels, humor, action and more sex.

Strippers are awkward - couldn't get onboard with Derek being one. But Lenore wrote him as a nice enough mystery to keep me intrigued. In general she writes a good Derek. And a good Stiles for that matter.

"Derek runs as if he's got something personal against the treadmill, as if it insulted his mother and challenged his masculinity, as if he's trampling it into submission."

"There's an elemental fierceness to him, as if he's not entirely civilized, and maybe that should be scary, but it's not. It's just incredibly hot."
