Book 1 of this trilogy pulled me in with beautiful writing and storytelling in its opening pages. The remainder of Book 1 kept my interest with real emotion and plenty of action, leaving me eager for books 2 and 3.

Unfortuneately, Book 2 was just plain dull. I never felt a conbection to the characters nor did their circumstances make me feel for them in any way. There were precious few events occurring that even made the story interesting.

The first half of Book 3 was similarly as disinteresting as Book 2. The story became more interesting in the last 5 chapters of Book 3. The reader was provided with the type of intensity and action that was expected throughout the series. By this time though, it was too little too late. ( )
