Teslageist: Amber Wasp was an enjoyable read. Having not read the previous book in the series, I was concerned I would be missing too much background information to properly read the story. I do think that some parts of the story would have been clearer if I had previous knowledge of the main character, but overall I do not think it detracted greatly from the book. I did struggle a little with visualizing the setting, but I think that was due to my awareness that the story was set in Europe. There were parts of the story where I got a little confused who was talking to who, but for the most part the author kept things pretty clear. I think this series would probably do well with upper elementary and middle school aged readers who could relate to the protagonists. As an adult reader I still enjoyed it.
