Excellent little volume with extras: an introduction, and writings on the origin of the Idylls, history in in the Arthurian legends, a chronology of Tennyson's life, and a short bibliography of related books, and end notes. None of these extras are very long, making them an easy read. There is also a line drawing map of Britain showing places relevant to the Idylls. It contains only five of the twelve Idylls: The Coming of Arthur; Gareth and Lynette; Lancelot and Elaine; Guinevere; and The Passing of Arthur. ( ) no reviews | add a review
