![]() None No current Talk conversations about this book. This well-researched children’s book gives a lot of information about the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Not only does it tell how the reefs are formed, but it also tells about the corals and algae that create it. This book also tells a lot about the history of the Great Barrier Reef, and about that part of Australia. It concludes by describing the dangers that that great wonder is in and the movements that have been created through the years, to save it. This is a wonderful book that is written specifically for children. The pencil sketches throughout are well-done. no reviews | add a review

"In this Where Is? title, kids can explore the Great Barrier Reef--big enough to be seen from space but made up of billions of tiny living organisms. The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Australia, is the world's largest coral reef system. Stretching more than 1,400 miles, it provides a home to a wide diversity of creatures. Designated a World Heritage Site, the reef is suffering from the effects of climate change but this fascinating book shows this spectacular part of our planet."-- No library descriptions found. |
