I love Jeff Lemire. I love Dustin Nguyen. But believe me when I say Descender is the best I've seen from both. This is a 5 star book!

.....is Mark Millar's quote on the back of this book. And I agree! ( )

The continuing adventures of Tim as he finds other robots out in the galaxy who have banded together to keep themselves safe. Or do they have ulterior motives for Tim? ( )

I really enjoyed this volume! The art was still amazing and I liked how the story progressed :) We got to get to know more characters and really see more of the world. Can't wait to see more from vol 3. ( )

I read this after volume 3 of this series. I still haven't read volume 1 but I get what's going on. Oddly, reading volume 3 first helped with this one, as it provides a lot of back story about the characters. Robot boy Tim-21 is looking for his human 'brother' against the backdrop of a machine-human war. Andy, now a professional robot-scrapper also seeks Tim, with perhaps darker motivations. In this book Tim is taken by the robot leader Psius to the 'machine moon', haven of the robots. The robots reluctantly allow military woman Telsa and Dr Quon to accompany him, though there is clearly no love lost between the robots and humans. ( )
