Fortune took a bit of time for me to warm up to, but the residents of this larger than life small town are certainly worth the price of admission. I admit the premise of the story kind of threw me, but Fortune’s highly analytical behavior and way of looking at things made it easier to accept. The humor throughout the story is infectious and even the science is kind of fun. I had no idea that my crossword puzzle staple, “Nutria” is a swamp rat. I suppose “Mayor” Celia will be happy to know that I intend to visit this charming place as often as I can. I also intend to catch up with Frankie Bow.
