It was really good to get to check in with the Scouting Lads camp too and see how they're doing now that, uh, they're not being mind controlled to be evil. Also: I am hype to see more about whatever sinister plot is building in the backdrop of this series. I love how each volume gives a fun adventure while also deepening my understanding of these characters and the relationships between them. no reviews | add a review

But the most significant part for me was the conversation between Barney and Jo about being trans and being where you feel comfortable and what it means to be a Lumberjane. It is seriously great to see diversity in race, gender, and sexuality presented in such a positive way to kids in a manner that they can connect to. This series makes me wish I could afford to buy sets of it and mail it to everyone I know with kids or who enjoys graphic novels. ( )
