Wow . . . A fantastic, bite-sized collection of J.G. Ballard's sci-fi shorts. Some work better than others, but their effect is so unnerving. Mr F is Mr F was a standout for me - although you could see where it was going all along, it was terrifying nonetheless; Manhole 69 was another good one, and one I could really visualise as a film or short film even if it did border more on the surreal than some of the others.

Overall, a great read for the fan of the author or those who like their short stories a little bit bent, eerie and immensely clever. ( )
