I found this book very moving. Now and again the prose could use some polishing, but that served to show that this is a story direct from the heart, that the words are John's, and not those of his co-author.

I liked the stories of the songs people were inspired to sing - but that they were first presented to the pastors to check them against the Bible before they were used in worship.

I liked his recognition that it was seeing sin in himself, and not just in others, that was a major turning place in his vocation. That he did everything he could to make good for his mistakes. How wonderful that he was able to finally be a father to his son!

Now we have to hope that he will find the time to also write the story of his schools and the work they are doing. I'm sure that would also be a very inspiring story. ( )
