Jack's mother was ill one morning so Jack left the house and when to the beach shore and as he was there he meet Old Man Death. They got into a a fight and Jack kept punching Old Man Death and it made him so small that he shoved him into a nut shell. Later he went home and tried to kill food to eat like chickens, eggs, etc and he couldn't kill anything. Later he realized it was something he had done so he went and found the nut shell again and brought Old Man Death back to life and his mother lived to a ripe old age.
I thought this book was cute and that any little kid would enjoy it so yes I recommend reading this book to younger children.
