interesting, but the writing quality was patchy and it seemed to end just as the plot was starting to get going. ( )

Jokar grew up in N'Yok's dingy streets, amidst the underworld, there he worked as a dealer. During a routine sweep of the underworld for undesirables he's captured and the amulet he wore for years confiscated. The amulet he'd inherited from his mother, but this hides much more than just his past, it hides the future of the human race. ( )
