Sections ridiculously long and drawn out, making reading it laborious.

The action makes you want to roll your eyes.

The redundancy bored me to near comatose.

It had a decent start then died a painful death.

I tried numerous times to get back into it, just in case it was my mood and not the book.
Finally realized it's the way the story is written that is the problem.

The action is mostly the heroine running around talking about how she is changing and doing some bizarre stuff.

No real character build nor world build. Just some insinuation to Helena's background and why she ended up on the run.

Sorry, but as you can tell, I didn't like it.

As far as typos/editing errors, I don't remember seeing them. ( )

Epic story in a world I can't wait to read more about. Really great ideas and enthralling plot. ( )

Melanie Tomlin, or Queen M—as I call her—created a very entertaining and intriguing story that will make you want to live in her books. For all I know, she could be the next Anne Rice, and this book will be the next big thing in theaters.

Angels and Vampires have a special place in my heart. This book has been recommended to me, and upon seeing the cover, I was intrigued, confused even. Why is it entitled Angel’s Kiss when the cover shows a bloody lip? I mean, it shows on the cover that it was a vampire so why the hell is it entitled an Angel’s Kiss? Yes, I judge its cover without reading it just yet.

The book started with a very human scene—a girl who wanted to die—a girl named Helena was yearning for death to come, but instead, she became the death of the vampire who drink on her. And yes, in just the first-three short chapter, the whole foundation of the story has been established well.

When I say established, it had already given you questions that you yearned to have an answer. Apparently, when the Angel named Danny—as he first told Helena—explained to her that only an Angel blood can kill a vampire, and it would also be a death sentence for her, more questions started emerging. Helena, being an unknown entity, Danny decided to keep her to know what she really was.

Danny, keeping Helena was, well, the start of a relationship every girl fantasizes about. Danny—well, he is obviously perfect because he is an angel, but still, getting to know him more seems like you wanted to sin with him. Yes, like you wanted to forget all rationalities left in your mind and go inside the book and replace Helena in his life. Kidding aside, I really wanted Danny out of the book. HAHA.

Seriously, Danny and Helena’s relationship was established by pure curiosity and interest in each other; Helena wanted to know who Danny is, his story and as for Danny, he doesn’t care about Helena’s past or how Helena sees things. Danny accepts Helena for who really she is.

This book was balanced and laid-out carefully. Every detail, in my opinion, has been planned carefully. There is some bible teaching that was tweaked by the author, and honestly speaking (no offense meant), the author had given a better version of some parts of the bible. The author also is well knowledgeable about the topics (especially the Angels and the hierarchy she used. Furthermore, the book is not just about romance stuff, but it has some rich Angel history that you’ll love exploring, also there is some action, comedy, and drama that you’ll definitely love.

You might be curious about how the story ends? The story ends with—well, you better read the book to know how it ends. Salute to Queen M (yeup, That’s what I call her.) for creating this perfect book. ( )

Melanie Tomlin had just successfully made a very creative and entertaining story full of surprising scenes that will make you love this book.

As always! I’m a craver for vampire stories. That’s what I came upon seeing the cover. I just didn’t expect it to be so different from the other vampire books, and all I could say is that the author just made me love her.

“In my opinion humans are the only monsters on this planet. As for demons… I think we all have our own personal demons, but that’s it.” – Melanie Tomlin, Angel’s Kiss

This book just tells us how Helena, a girl that just wanted to die, stumbled on a vampire that will only change her life. After what happened to her and the vampire, who died after drinking on her, an angel came across where they are. Not knowing what she was, that angel named Danny decided to keep her and see for himself if she was a threat or not. But, as soon as she discovers what she is and what her powers are, both of them will fall on some unexpected steamy relationship and will face different kinds of dangers and threats.

The author did some twist on what we already know about the vampires, angels, werewolves, zombies, and all sorts of creature we might know. The author had an in-depth explanation of the bible teaching and changed some of the information that we know about it. The author just did an excellent job of creating a much better story out of it.

It’s only a matter of time before our worlds collide and mortals realise that the stuff of dreams and nightmares is real. – Melanie Tomlin, Angel’s Kiss

Sometimes the narration is slow, and sometimes it is not. But, nonetheless, it never destroys the intensity I’d feel with each word I’ve just read. What amazed me more is how my curiosity stays and how it never changes until the end.

“Men and angels think very much alike – shoot first, ask questions later.” – Melanie Tomlin, Angel’s Kiss

Helena and Danny are so perfect for me. They are the characters that you’ll love. Their first meeting is somehow serious, but with Helena’s being a mortal before and having a lot of questions on her mind, just made this book more enjoyable.

I loved Helena very much! I can hardly say that I somehow see myself in her. She’s a hard-headed or what they called a pig-headed girl, but somehow she also manages to justify those actions of her. She is also hilarious and clever. She is so rational in a way that she always thinks about the pros and cons before doing a decision or an action.

Danny, or better known as Danizriel, is so lovable. Being an angel just added more points! When he started to become naughty, all I can say is that I want him out of the book and just be mine. He just made me put him as my top #1 book boyfriend.

“Mortals’ beliefs are so funny,” he laughed, “He gave you the Ten Commandments – which you couldn’t follow, by the way – and ten only, yet you create even more rules to make your lives difficult. No sex before marriage, sex only to reproduce, no meat on Fridays and the list goes on.” – Melanie Tomlin, Angel’s Kiss

I had a lot of fun reading this. The action and romantic scenes just made it more beautiful. This book just made me curious and laugh a lot. My smile on my face never fades as I keep on reading this. One of the best scenes for me was when Helena had some practice time with her so-called friends, and when she attacked those vampires by using her power.

“Nothing is impossible, just highly improbable” – Melanie Tomlin, Angel’s Kiss

The writing style and the way the story moves was just amazing. I know that all paranormal and fantasy lovers out there would enjoy reading this as much as I do.
