Of the five how-to manuals for Photoshop Elements that I own (including the official Adobe user guide), this is the one that I reach for first. It is quick and easy to use, detailed when it needs to be, has a very good layout and a pleasing visual aesthetic. This is the book that I've had the most luck with when I've needed to take one of my Photoshop projects to the next level. Also, since this is not the first of Peachpit Press' Visual Quickstart Guides that I've had a good experience with, especially with this often frustrating arena of computer technology, I will keep the VQG's at the top of my list when shopping for another how-to manual.
