Drax (2015-) #3 - CM Punk, Scott Hepburn, Cullen Bunn
Book likes is so-so right now, but not awful enough for me not to write reviews. It's quick as of a couple minutes ago - or quicker than it's been all day for me - so I'm willing to catch up on some reviews. It's not even not to flood you guys tomorrow to be honest. Oh, it's partly that, but it's more that I get overwhelmed if I have too many reviews that pile up.

I'm interested in how this will play out, but I still have all my old complaints. I don't feel like I'm getting a good sense of Drax's character. Worse, when I do get a sense, I just don't find him all that interesting, nor as I crazy about the side characters.

I want to see where this goes and if it gets any better, though...

This was my introduction to CM Punk's run on Drax. To be honest, I was really skeptical about this title —I thought it was one more of those trash titles that Marvel axes before it reaches 7 issues. However, it turned out that it was not as bad as I thought.
Although I still find Fin Fang Foom's appearance odd in this title, it was interesting to see him and Drax interact. The story felt more like an old-school take of those space opera titles that used to be published by Marvel. If you're a fan of Abnett's Guardians of the Galaxy or like to see Fin Fang Foom pop up in recent stories, I recommend this issue. It will not disappoint. ( )
