A feast she wasn't expecting! Clover Greene would sooner crawl into her oven than host family for Thanksgiving dinner. Yet another annual ritual of too much food, served with a side of criticism over "Clover's Bad Life Choices." This year, she needs to distract them all with a handsome fake boyfriend. And she has the perfect guy in mind. Contractor Erick Fields is the poster boy for sexy single dads, and Clover has been secretly crushing on him for ages. She certainly wasn't expecting Erick to agree to her insane charade or to add lots of hot, wicked sex to the deal. If they can pull it off, the worst Thanksgiving ever might give them something to be really thankful for!… (more)

I'm finding these books to be the perfect length while packing a lot of story and steam to keep a reader satisfied. ( )

A fake boyfriend story, set during Thanksgiving week near Mt. Hood, in Oregon. The banter is good, the story moves fast, and it's steamy. The hero also has a teenage daughter who is a lot of fun. The Thanksgiving meal scene is my favorite due to the family shenanigans! It's hard to find Thanksgiving-themed stories, so this was a lot of fun.

Perfect for weekend reading. Perfect for fall seasonal reading. ( )

This book deserves all the squees as it’s just perfectly swoon worthy. I basically had a grin on my face the whole time reading it, and I will be coming back to Clover and Erick for many a comfort reread. Also Ruthie is the amazingly snarky, goddess-worshipping, teenage daughter I never knew I needed; she also has me craving lavender wipes. ( )

This book actually started off okay and the characters seemed likable, but once the fake boyfriend scenario started, this book became an endless sexfest. It was bogged down with one sex scene after another and when it wasn't that, it was sex talk. I got tired of "hero" Erick's dirty talk really fast and I didn't find him sexy at all. I also didn't like how he was always bringing up everywhere he had sex before to "heroine" Clover. Talk about a total turn-off. Clover was a 30-year-old virgin who had sex for the first time with Erick. After that she was suddenly a nymphomaniac. She started off as independent and smart running her own business, but after she had sex with Erick she came off as empty-headed and wimpy. I didn't like Erick and Clover at all and they irritated the hell out of me. The only part of the story that was bearable was the too-short section where Clover's horrible family came over for Thanksgiving, but by then it was way too late to save this book for me. I know that Blaze books are supposed to be sexy and steamy, but they are also romance novels, and there was no romance here at all...just sex. ( )

I snorted, I got teary. This is a fun, steamy, low conflict romance and man oh man was it exactly what I needed right now. Reisz always me laugh out loud, sigh happily, and her characters are always so great. Not the strongest in the series, IMO, but a heckuva lot of fun. ( )
