Originally published as “The Lot at the End of My Block”

Young readers can follow the adventure as workers transform the lot at the end of the block from a sand-filled area to the home of a new building where a new friend comes to live.

The text is cumulative in that each successive page builds on the text of the previous page. The repetition helps strengthen the young reader’s skill as it spins out the fun-filled construction story. Colorful illustrations complement the text.

Highly recommended. ( )
