Acting: 4.5; Theme: 4.5; Content: 4.5; Language: 5.0; Overall: 4.5; This was a suspenseful thriller set in a Mexican border town. The crooked chief of police (Orson Welles) sets up a plot to frame a Mexican youth. An American narcotics detective (Charlton Heston) must uncover the web of deceit by avenging the kidnapping and setup of his wife (Janet Leigh). Great supporting roles in this film. Highly recommend. ***April 27, 2019*** ( )

A Mexican cop stalked by a crime family gets involved in a US border town's investigation of a car bombing.

Very well made. As classic noir crime thrillers go, it's certainly one of the best.
