Now if you are like me...you always wondered why Blythe held herself apart from the rest of the Sea Haven Sisters. It wasn't just that she is the eldest, the calm in the storm, the care taker....something was just missing. That something turns out to be her hubby, Viktor Prakenskii. I know...who'd have imagined that?!?!

Viktor is trying to get back to his wife, finish his last assignment, AND yet again save his brothers and sisters (Tornado Ink MC members). Of course his assignment has been undercover for 5 years as a member of the Swords MC. Talk about some vile, evil excuses for human beings. They are being led by Evan Shackler-Gratsos....yes, the devil himself is back. Evan has a plot to kill Jackson and kidnap Elle. Viktor just wants to end Evan's life, it's what he feels compelled to do. Take out the biggest pedophile/human trafficker in the world. (Yes he also deals in drugs and weapons but that's small stuff in Viktor's eyes.)

There is heartbreak galore in their story. Blythe dealing with her alcoholic mother. Losing her and Viktor's daughter at her mother's hand while in a drunken rage. Viktor being trained and threatened to have the same done to his birth brothers, starting with the youngest Ilya who was a toddler at the time, if he did not cooperate. Both of them finding something in the other that let them find happiness. By the time the others meet Blythe she's a miracle worker in their eyes. Viktor has them convinced she will not only accept all of them but can help them all try to live a "normal" life and maybe find their own slice of happy.

Now while it's Blythe and Viktor's story we get to see the other sisters, the rest of the Prakenskii brothers AND the Drake sisters and their hubbys. It's a great time to in Sea Haven. I loved getting to know members of the Tornado Ink. I'm hoping this means will be getting books on them since a couple of them....Reaper and Savage especially...have captured my attention. And let me tell you, for a bunch of damaged, outlaw bikers they are funny! No filters and no boundaries which can lead to some interesting situations.

All in all I loved every moment of this book, even the ones that made me want to curl up in a ball and sob. Can't wait to see what comes next! ( )

Viktor has been undercover for five years. Before he disappeared he had married Blythe and killed her stepfather and she hasn't seen him since. He left a letter in explanation but she never received it, believing he had abandoned her. Most of the book is detailing Viktor and his claimed brothers and sisters history of abuse and torture and how they banded together to create Torpedo Ink. There's torture, rape and loss on all sides. Dealing with the enemy is secondary to character introduction and history. A lot going on, with most of the enemy resolution happening at the very end. It will be interesting to see how the Torpedo Ink series unfolds and how their gifts will play into the storylines.

I expected more out of this final novel of the seven Prakenskii brothers. Christine Feehan did a great job pulling in the important facts from prior novels that explained the Prakenskii brother violent childhood and how Vitor tried to keep track of his brothers and to protect the youngest Ilya. The summary of the sister's of the heart series connection to the Drake sisters series was also helpful since they were written over a long span of time. Some of Vkitors history was rated a little to often, but maybe that's the authors way of indicating significance. It's good that the Grotso brothers are both dead along with Sorbokav. Sorbokav's schools for assassins, like the ones each of the brothers were trained in from the time their parents were murdered until they were adult professional assassins, have all been closed, records destroyed and money creatively redistributed. The new Torpedo Ink series looks fantastic. Can't wait for Reapers story. ( )

Sisters of the Heart, Book 6

I Picked Up This Book Because: Continuation of series.

The Characters:

Viktor “Zar” Prakenskii: Oldest Prakenskii brother, head of Torpedo Ink
Blythe Daniels: The heart of the Sisters and another large family that she is about to meet.

The Story:

I’m feeling lazy and not in the mood to write a full summary, with that said this book is dark! Lots of child moslestation, other deep fears and violence. There is also plenty of sexy times, some humor and the beginning of a family being built. (Maybe growing would be a better word.)

The narrator did a wonderful job. Lots a voices in this one and she nailed them all.

The Random Thoughts:
