This book is full of short, rhyming poetry verses that are very comical. The poems have patterns and are almost lyrical. I would recommend it for fifth, or sixth graders to read it on their own. It would be a little bit harder for younger children to pronounce some of the words and grasp some of the meanings without it being explained to them. This is a great book to read to your class when introducing poetry, or rhyming words. ( )
