Mr. Crais is a welcome master of the genre as we lose the greats to time and circumstance. He’s a worthy successor to Elmore Leonard and Robert B. Parker, among others. This novel well represents his talents.

Love me some Cole and Pike...would have preferred a bit more Pike, but one takes what one can get. ( )

I used to travel for business a lot and these were the types of books I would read. They don’t require a lot of thought and they are enjoyable albeit highly predictable. I have never read any books by this author until now but this book was enjoyable and a quick easy read.
Although this book is relatively new- I think number 17 in the series, as the reader I didn’t feel like I needed to have been following the series to know who the characters were. ( )
