A little pig just wants to play with his bear friend who is too preoccupied with playing the cello. Once the little pig has had enough and is ready to go home, the bear gives him a drum kit so they can play together. Cute book, but not much to it. ( )

I love the ink and watercolor illustrations, they are adorable. The text is sparse but tells a story that any kid who has tried to agree on what to play with their friend will identify with. The ending is creative and made me smile.

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0399546014, Hardcover)

Playtime means very different things to these two spirited friends

Pip is full of ideas for what to play: Dress up! Magicians! Dolls!
Only, Nico doesn’t want to play any of them, and Pip gets mad. REALLY mad.
But don’t worry—Nico finds the perfect way for them to play together.
Michelle Lee’s irresistible characters show that finding a way to play together will always hit the right note.
