Summary: this book is about the man William tell and the challenge he was issued for not obeying a tyrant. His challenge was to shoot an apple in half off of his son's head.
Review: this book makes good folktale because it has gone down in legend, and possibly has been told so many times over the course of its creation that it has changed dramatically. This particular telling I think is good because it paints Tell as a man of high moral character that wants the best for his son and for the people in his town.
