. Betsy might be known to many of you as a wonderful ketubah artist but with this book she has created a fantastic guide for all who are dedicated to building a better world, especially for women. She showcases creative, low-cost tools that are helping the world’s most impoverished women improve their lives and provide a toe-hold to climb the ladder out of extreme poverty. You will learn about one-dollar eyeglasses, eco-toilet bio digesters, biochar briquettes, and bike-powered machines that pump water and shell corn. Cost effective ways to improve technology, public health, finance and more abound. It is a gold mine for entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Great photos help convey the message of each entry. Betsy is working on a Jewish link to the book with ties to Torah portions. Some temples will be using the book with B’nai Mitzvah youth as it has many great ideas for Mitzvah projects. BE INSPIRED!
