An interesting book, it was called science fiction but it did not fit the usual bill of fare for the genre. It has aliens, abductions, but all seem to be treated in a new-age, flower child manner. The book is a first person story of a girl growing up/grown up having been raised by a mother who interacted with aliens visiting earth. This was a long read, the author did a detailed job in explaining the main character, background and motivation so that the reader could clearly understand what was causing the actions described. When she finally understands, and agrees to take up her mother's quest, the reader is ready to agree that it is perfectly logical. I was not sure I liked it until the end; so give it a try and stick with it. ( )
