They go through how they love airplanes and talk about them and the different situations that have happened. This book also provides little "fun facts" about how kids with autism are different and specific things about them. I love that it shows the differences in people, but that it doesn't have to matter. This would be great for a class so kids can understand better. Window Tourville's writes about a boy with Autism. She depicts him in an integrated settings, showing him on a schools field trip among peers without disabilities. She promotes positives images of Autism by giving examples of what Zack can do instead of what he can't do. There are little side comments including facts about Autism that is helpful for readers with no knowledge of this disability. no reviews | add a review

My friend Zack has a disability called autism. But that doesn't matter to us. We talk about airplanes, build models, and enjoy hanging out at each other's house. I'm glad Zack is my friend! No library descriptions found. |
