Keegan presents his unique insight and vast knowledge, giving this tremendous learning value not readily available in other of my readings, as do all of his books. Yet with the vast number of 4 and 5 ratings I am baffled. The maps are very " 'busy' ", it is complementary to call them such, they are very confusing and confused, often a mess of crossing lines near impossible to follow. This is an atlas none the less? And by then changing the polls [North South, top to bottom] and adding a horizon effect to some maps, some familiar areas are almost unrecognizable. And yes the history is spotty and biased, but then he is British. ( ) no reviews | add a review
