A cute novella with a plot that centered around one short event and the relationship was mostly told through the characters thoughts but the ending was adorable. Love the MacKenzie clan. Horse trainer Maris wakes up in bed with Alex and can't remember what happened.

I don't really get the whole "I fell in love with you in the five seconds we have met" thing. If you're writing something to be a novel, than write it as a novel. Didn't like the fast pace of the story and the only thing that redeemed thsi for me was the epilogue. ( )

This is the least satisfying of all Howard's Mackenzie books. Because of the length, both Maris and Mac were shortchanged. Though Howard did a credible job with the limited word count she had, the story would have been much improved if it were 50pages longer.

All-in-all not a bad novella, it was just too short to have the same emotional impact as the other books in the series. ( )
