A book that can be regarded as the reference book on the mathematics of astronomy: calculate everything from planetary orbits, lunar events, even calendrical stuff like the date of Easter. I used this book (and its predecessor) intensively to implement a planetarium software application with which I wanted to re-create the state of the heavens for any moment in time.

Book description
Stated in book," Virtually every previous handbook on celestial calcuations was forced to rely on formaulae for Sun Moon and planets that were developed in the last century or before 1920. With his special knack for computations of all sorts, the author has made the essential of these modern techniques available to us all.
