The illustrations and photographs in this book are predominantly black and white. Instead of being a detraction, this emphasizes the graphic nature of the strips or lines in the material that are cut apart and reassembled to make a new design. Drafting your own design is covered as are techniques for making curved strips and sewing thin strips to a foundation.
