Series: No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency: #4

2023-11-23: 😜 I blew through this book and really enjoyed it but a few days later I don't really remember it. Okay, it's coming back. It was another in the series of general goodness that is #1LDA. Nothing stands out about it, but I don't think it needs to. I do wonder what Mma Ramotswe told the wife. That seems like an important oversight. I also think she should come clean with Grace. ( )

A nice, light read. ( )

Lisette Lecat does a marvelous job narrating this audiobook. While the mystery is slight, the view of human nature and life in Botswana continued to charm. ( )

These books are so gentle, with little details of life and potent human observations. I can't say how exact they are but I understand the author has spent a good deal of time in Botswana. Any which way they are simply charming, and Precious Ramotswe a genuine kind person. ( )

First words
I must remember, thought Mma Ramotswe, how fortunate I am in this life; at every moment, but especially now, sitting on the verandah of my house on Zebra Drive, and looking up at the high sky of Botswanna, so empty that the blue is almost white.
